What’s your style?
If I had to describe it in a word, I would say "documentary.” I photograph moments of your day as they are. I want to capture you cooking together, snuggling on the couch, or watching the kids run wild. All of these little moments are what make your story yours.
How do you edit?
I use LightRoom. I edit photos both in color and in black and white. I don’t prefer one over the other; it all depends on what I feel suits the mood of the photo.
What’s a typical family session like?
First and foremost, they are never, ever rushed. I want every experience to be as stress-free as possible for everyone. I do have approximate time allotments, but I am very flexible when necessary. I don’t do a lot of posed photos unless you prefer those. I want to see you be yourselves, which often includes lots of activity and a wide range of emotion from everyone. I want you to smile when you look at your photos. I love capturing the simplicity and beauty of honest, real life. That doesn’t mean that everyone will always be looking at the camera or even be smiling in every photo, but I want you to be able to get peek of what you and your people look like as you spend time together. My goal is to capture your relationship and all that comes with it.
What should I wear for my session?
Neutral colors and simple patterns are always a great choice! (Bold patterns and logos can be very distracting.) But most importantly, wear something that makes you feel beautiful and that you are comfortable in.
Do you travel?
I’m already packed! I work out travel details on a client-to-client basis, so feel free to drop me a line.
